In a matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies, Victor would begin to show the dominance he could provide on the defensive end of the floor with EIGHT blocks. San Antonio would lose their eighth straight, but Wemby would be the talk of the town that night.

With the block count, Victor would join Tim Duncan, who did it twice, and David Robinson, who did it six times, as the only Spurs rookies to have eight rejections in a game.

12/8/23 - Wemby becomes youngest ever to record 20 PTS & 20 REBS

In a game in which the Spurs fell short 121-112 to the Chicago Bulls, Victor became the youngest player in NBA history to record 20 points and 20 rebounds.

The record was previously set by Orlando's Dwight Howard, who recorded 21 points and 20 rebounds. Victor would have the same box score. Victor accomplished this milestone at 19 years and 338 days old, while Howard was 19 and 342 days old, making these two the only teenagers to record a 20-point, 20-rebound game.
