They need some perimeter stoppers who are capable of spacing the floor. San Antonio is last in 3-point percentage this season at just 34.7 as a team.

O’Neale is the perfect 3-and-D wing to add. He is a career 38.2 percent 3-point marksman and about to make his seventh consecutive playoff appearance. The 6’4 wing can defend multiple positions and has secondary playmaking ability. He would complement Wemby on both ends of the floor and could help the Spurs quickly jump back into contention.

Royce O’Neale is in the final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Suns would love to re-sign him, but the Spurs can outbid them. Getting a strong 3-and-D wing should be a priority, but won’t be easy.
