The San Antonio Spurs continue their preseason schedule tonight with a tuneup against the Houston Rockets. Although this intrastate showdown between these retooled Texas teams could set the stage to rejuvenate their storied rivalry, a handful of prominent names will be on the sidelines for both clubs when this contest tips off.

Victor Wembanyama injury status for Spurs vs. Rockets

San Antonio Spurs Upcoming Preseason Schedule

Gregg Popovich, Brian Wright, and the rest of the front office brain trust only have a little more than one week to make final cuts and cement the opening night roster, but their decisions about lineups and rotations are still unclear as the Silver and Black prepare for another exhibition matchup.

• Spurs vs. Rockets on Oct. 18th at 7:00 PM CT (CW35)
• Spurs @ Warriors on Oct. 20th at 9:00 PM CT (NBA TV)

San Antonio will have one day off before hitting the road for round two against the Rockets at Toyota Center. With everyone on the roster fully healthy for the first time in what feels like forever, the Spurs should have an opportunity to find minutes for everyone before the regular season starts.
