The NBA has never been more talented than it is now from top to bottom. It's the direct result of advancements in training regimens, better understanding of the body and a natural evolution of skill. It's not uncommon for a guy to have 20 points or more off the bench these days, especially with how prevalent the three-point shot has become. Knowing this makes the product of the NBA All-Star Game that much more disappointing because the players don't give it the effort it deserves.

Despite the event's consistently bland display, the show must go on, and being selected is still an honor—one that San Antonio Spurs fans hope happens for Victor Wembanyama this season. When considering all-star potential, it's hard not to remember that the event hasn't been held in San Antonio since 1996. That should change in the not-too-distant future with Wemby on the team, but in the meantime, the next few years are spoken for.

These All-Star Game locations have been confirmed for 2025, 2026 and 2027

NBA All-Star 2025: February 14-16, San Francisco, California
NBA All-Star 2026: February 13-15, Los Angeles, California
NBA All-Star 2027: February 19-21, Phoenix Arizona

This will be the fourth time the NBA will host the All-Star Game in LA since the last San Antonio appearance. It will be the second for Phoenix and the second for the Warriors in the same time frame. Several cities have played host to the celebrity-filled event since Alamo City's last turn, and while we can understand that those cities have higher tourist attractions, SA isn't that darn bad.

The NBA hasn't announced the location of 2028's All-Star Game, but there's a good chance San Antonio will get the nod. The 2027 announcement wasn't made until March last season. That's a benefit to the Spurs because they have a chance to showcase Wembanyama for a second straight year.

The energy expected to pump through the Frost Bank Center will be on display in front of national TV audiences all season with the Spurs' added primetime games. They have a total of 21 of them. It's the perfect audition to be the next city to earn the honor. The league held the game in Indianapolis last season and has been in Cleveland twice since 1996. It's time to go back to Alamo City and 2028 looks like a solid bet for that to happen.
