What would you say about adding another seven-footer alongside Victor Wembanyama? You would probably say that sounds like a great idea if you're old enough to remember the Twin Towers era. But what if I also said that in order to do it, the Spurs would trade down from the number two overall spot? That second part is a little eyebrow-raising, but that's a possibility being tossed around.
via @krystenpeek : Spurs could be eyeing Duke's C Khaman Maluach

"Another buzzy name tied to the Spurs is Maluach, a 7-foot-2 center out of Duke. The Spurs could essentially be building twin towers with Wembanyama and Maluach and there is an appeal to drafting another young big…
In order to make this happen, San Antonio would have to do something. Drafting Maluach at two would be egregious, but you're not getting him at 14, either. Moving up or down is the only way to pull it off, but let's play out a scenario where all the latest rumors are true. The Spurs would look vastly different, and honestly, I don't think anyone would hate it.
San Antonio can flip both of their draft picks to get what they want
The Brooklyn Nets reportedly want to move up to draft Dylan Harper, and they have four first-round picks: 8, 19, 26, and 27. That's cool and all, but if we're going to go off a credible recent mock draft, I'm not interested in picking lower than 18. That's where they have Carter Bryant going with Washington's pick.
Funny enough, the Wizards also have an additional first-round pick, and it lands at number six in the lottery. What if the Spurs were to trade their right to draft Dylan Harper to Washington for the 6th and 18th picks in the draft? They could draft Khaman Maluach with the first pick, and Carter Bryant with the second pick.
As far as the 14th pick, they can use that to make the other rampant rumors of Kevin Durant to the Spurs come true. Send the 14th pick along with Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson to the Suns with another couple of second-rounders to appease their GM.
San Antonio would walk away from the draft with Maluach, Bryant, and Durant. That would be a fantastic draft night for the Silver and Black, and everyone's concerns about whether Harper could fit next to De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle would be put to rest. I don't think they'd have trouble playing together and would be fine if they just pulled the trigger on a Harper pick, but I'd love this idea even more.
Several things would need to fall into place for a crazy night like this to happen, but we've been told from insiders to expect an active and wild offseason in the NBA. I'm just giving my two cents on how the Spurs can take part in the festivities.
