NBA fan delivers most epic comeback in Victor Wembanyama's name

Well, that escalated quickly.

Did you hear the one about Victor Wembanyama picking on little guys on the basketball court? Sounds crazy, right? A recent critique of The Alien on social media claimed that he never gets his highlights against an "actual center". Spurs fans didn't even have to respond to the insane assertion.

A random NBA fan account did it better than anyone else could have by responding with a 13-minute clip of Wemby dominating centers. THIRTEEN MINUTES STRAIGHT. It was beautiful to behold, and if you have 13 minutes to spare, I would advise you watch it in preparation for more basketball brilliance from Alamo City's demogorgon.

Wemby will have critics no matter what he does

Spurs fans have heard it all about their 7'5" superstar. He's too skinny, he shoots too many three-pointers, he hasn't impacted winning enough, etc. Someone always has something to say, as if he was supposed to be a finished product in his first year as a professional basketball player. You have to disregard those people. They're unserious individuals, and your time is spent better elsewhere.

Sometimes, people just want to be haters. Their disdain is not rooted in fact or reality, but that doesn't matter to them. They're just miserable or want to make others miserable because what a ridiculous thing to say. It would have been easier for him to reveal that he doesn't watch the Spurs play. It would have saved him the ridicule that followed him being owned by another user.

It can be difficult for those people when your identity revolves around hating greatness. Skip Bayless made a living out of it, but not everyone is as skilled and dedicated at the art of pure negativity, like the seasoned opinionist, and even he often made himself look silly. The truth is that you just don't get many chances to be right when you take those stances.

Vic has been a stellar example for the league since entering the NBA in 2023. He's never been in trouble, he encourages the team aspect of basketball, and he's been visible. Wemby doesn't hide from the media and fans; he embraces them with an 8'0" wingspan full of love. It's refreshing when superstars are so open with their lives, as it makes them seem more down-to-earth.

That doesn't even account for how awesome it's been to watch him play basketball. He wants to be out there for every game, bringing that childlike love for a sport we all appreciate. This is such an unbelievably likable guy that you just have to feel sorry for those who want to do nothing but wrongly criticize. Do better.
