During the NCAA Championship Game, Victor Wembanyama was spotted sitting next to Houston Rockets legend Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon. Fans immediately began calling for the obvious; for Wemby to train with one of the greatest centers in the history of basketball. Dream's footwork was unmatched and if the Alien adds that to his game, he levels up in a major way.

Houston sports anchor and reporter, Ari Alexander caught up with Olajuwon this weekend and asked him about his interaction with Wembanyama. His answer revealed that San Antonio's franchise player was thinking the same thing as the fans.

Wembanyama is on a mission to dominate and Hakeem could help

Victor is on a quest to gain as much knowledge as possible. He knows that he's able to do more things than the average player so the range of players he can work with is much wider. Last summer, the Alien spent time working with Jamal Crawford. There aren't many players who could work with Crawford and Olajuwon—two guys with vastly different skill sets—and it makes sense for them to do so.

That's partially what Hakeem is alluding to when he says that the towering Frenchman already has everything. He's incorrect, though. He doesn't have experience and while he has an array of moves, he doesn't always pull out the right ones at the right time. That's where the greatest player in Houston's history comes in.

Olajuwon is known for helping players grow

The Rockets fans in the comment section of the video above seem to be either disrespecting the Dream for complimenting Wemby or applauding him for "politely declining" to train a Spurs player. However, Hakeem gave no definitive indication that he was refusing to work with the 7'4" sponge.

Olajuwon has a history of training players who sought him out to learn the ways of the post. His famous "Dream Shake" is just one of an endless array of moves he used to score in the paint on whoever was brave enough to take the challenge. Nobody could stop this man. Not even David Robinson.

Now, don't get it twisted; The Admiral got the better of Hakeem in the regular season with a 32-16 advantage head-to-head. But the Rockets franchise star got his revenge in the playoffs, going 4-2 against the Spurs on the way to one of his two championships, and no matter what time of the season, Olajuwon got buckets.

There's always something you can learn from that guy, and Spurs fans will be thrilled that Wembanyama feels the same.
