During All-Star Weekend, Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo were caught on camera with Charles Barkley when the Greek Freak basically told Chuck he'd be out of his league trying to guard Vic. To Barkley's credit, he agreed, but the moment has popped back up on social media recently, likely due to the rampant rumors surrounding a possible Spurs/Bucks trade.

The pairing of Wembanyama and Giannis feels like destiny. As Thanos said in Avengers: Infinity War, you can dread it, you can run from it, but it arrives all the same. That's the boat the NBA is in right now. They don't want to see this happen. But they may not have a choice. Additionally, there's a scary part of this that most people haven't even considered.

Giannis can help Wembanyama gain strength steadily

When Giannis entered the league, he was almost as skinny as the Alien was during his inaugural campaign. He was so thin, most people never envisioned he'd grow into the player he did. His work ethic changed everyone's mind, but when you saw his frame, you couldn't really blame the critics.

Wembanyama already has a team of trainers working with him to make sure he adds the right amount of strength so he doesn't overwhelm his frame, but Giannis' experience with that could help. They're both obsessed with winning, so hard work is nothing to them, and putting the two together would give San Antonio a freakish duo you'd likely have to drag out of the gym.

The Bucks' franchise star is another lob threat San Antonio would have at their disposal, further turning them into a fast-paced team. Their emphasis would be on using their defense to generate offense, and when they get it clicking, they'd terrorize teams. We'd be looking at potentially the greatest defensive tandem the NBA has ever seen. You can sign up Spurs fans everywhere for that.

Giannis is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, and his resume includes a Defensive Player of the Year season and two MVP awards. He averaged 30 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block. We all know he doesn't shoot the three-ball well, but he's nearly unstoppable around the basket, and most defenders can't stop him from getting there.

The Alien will only continue to improve his three-point shooting, and the Spurs will undoubtedly be aggressive in their quest for more shooters this offseason. It's all coming together. We just need Giannis to reveal his love for breakfast tacos, and we've got him.
