Fans were invited to come down to city hall and take pictures in front of city hall, to celebrate and honor Duncan in downtown San Antonio. Some businesses decided to get in on the action as well, pricing special deals for the day. McDonald’s, for example decided to sell a 21 piece nuggets box, which coincides with Duncan’s jersey number where it is normally 20 pieces.

There are some really creative and cool things people from San Antonio banded together to do to celebrate together.

The internet is one way to catch some of the action, and so we show a glimpse of what’s happening in the city today.

Let’s take a look at some of the cool celebrations going on today.

City Hall hung a banner on the front door in honor of Duncan. This is where fans can come to take pictures, and have until Sunday before it is taken down. There is no way anyone will complain about having extra days to make a trip.

San Antonio firefighters laid on the pavement to spell ‘Tim Duncan Day!’ with their own bodies. It almost reminds you how Duncan sacrificed, to the point that this day is even possible.

The official seal of Mayor Taylor. This document makes the day official, and it’s a great day to celebrate.

The best part about Tim Duncan Day is, Tim Duncan himself is probably not interested, nor aware of half of the things going on in his honor.

That would make his own day, the most Tim Duncan thing ever.
