Zach Lowe confirms what Spurs fans knew all along about Stephon Castle

He's 100% right.

The San Antonio Spurs can count the Ringer's Zach Lowe among the biggest Stephon Castle fans in the NBA. Lowe has previously expressed his love for Castle's game.

With him continuing to improve, Lowe recently mentioned what he'd be willing to trade for Castle.

"“I could not love that guy any more. If I had a team... I would want them to call the Spurs every day and just be like, "We'll give you 6 first-round picks.""
Zach Lowe

Of course, he was only partly exaggerating about six first-round picks, though that could be closer to Victor Wembanyama's trade value. However, it goes to show that Castle isn't just blowing the minds of Spurs fans but also the minds of prominent NBA writers as well.

Stephon Castle is quickly becoming an untouchable player

Not to be outdone by Lowe, the Ringer's Bill Simmons recently mentioned that he believes Castle should make All-NBA this season. That is a bold statement.

Especially considering he made those comments before injuries to stars such as Luka Doncic, and Cade Cunningham. That means Castle has at least two prominent national NBA analysts in his corner and a sign that he is rapidly becoming one of the best young players in the NBA.

It only goes to show that Castle is on the right track. If he continues to develop, then he could be one of the best players in the league in just a short while.

The sky is the limit for Stephon Castle and the Spurs

San Antonio is certainly hoping that is the case with them already having Victor Wembanyama. He projects to be the best player in the NBA as soon as next season. Him having an elite co-star would be a terrifying thought for the rest of the league.

Ironically, Castle is rapidly proving that he is Wembanyama's true co-star, not De'Aaron Fox. Having Fox be your third option is a luxury, perhaps not a sustainable one, but a luxury nonetheless.

If the Spurs are forced to choose between the two, Castle seems like the easy choice. That means that Fox is far more likely to be traded than Castle. However, it's great that Lowe believes that his trade value is six first-round picks.

Hopefully, we'll never truly know Castle's trade value because that would mean the Spurs would be moving him. Given his star potential, that must never happen.
