Wemby's blistering performances have NBA fans everywhere asking same question

Every time I look up, someone is asking one question: "How do you stop that?"

It's been a joy for the basketball world to watch the next all-time great truly arrive. His majestic movements on the court and impossible angle-bending are mesmerizing to true NBA fans who have no choice but to appreciate greatness when they see it. Highlight after highlight sends witnesses rushing to the internet to ask the same question over and over with no answer in sight.

"How do you stop that?"

The short answer is you don't. You hope he misses. Victor Wembanyama forces a perennial "live with the results" mentality throughout the league. Sure, you want to put a hand up if you can get it in his face, but when you reach the NBA, muscle memory takes over much of the time, so as long as you do everything right with your jump shooting form and the shot isn't blocked, it's a bucket.

Debates continue to rage about how tall Wemby really is, so let's just say that, at a minimum, he's 7'5". I don't want to embellish any more than that, and honestly, I don't want him growing any taller. It's truly good enough. No need to stress his body any more than it already is. His frame is doing enough damage to opponents as it is.

Wembanyama's third year will be legendary

He's still only scratching the surface of what's possible. Nobody reaches their peak in their third year. Especially if he's one of those ones, and Wemby has lived up to the billing. He's already proved that he fits the same mold as some of the GOATs. He has the production, the killer mentality, and the basketball IQ to dominate this league for at least a decade.

Look at what he's doing right now and how everyone is reacting to it. I got a mobile notification from the NBA app a couple of days ago, and its only purpose was to tell me how I could watch every Spurs game this season. The Silver and Black have become must-see TV each game they play, regardless of who their opponent is. That's the Wemby effect.

There is no other team more worthy of your eyes on the league pass than San Antonio, and I don't think many people would argue with that. He's setting social media ablaze whenever he steps foot on the court, routinely pulling off feats that should just be referred to as spectacles. It needs to be extra. It should be dramatic. He's worth that.
