Win, win, and win.

With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama doesn't have much time left to make his case for MVP. Nevertheless, he has already put together an impressive resume.

His stellar play of late has transformed him from being a fringe MVP candidate to a top-three contender for the prestigious award.

He's done so by propelling the Spurs to a dominant stretch over the last two months. The Silver and Black are an incredible 24-2 since the beginning of February, and Wembanyama has been posting monster numbers since the All-Star break.

Those two things have helped solidify his MVP credentials. It also makes him more of a threat to steal the award away from Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA).

Finishing with the NBA's best record would give Wemby the MVP

SGA is the frontrunner and is the reigning MVP, but his grip on the award has begun to slip. If San Antonio can win out and the Thunder lose at least two more games, then the Spurs would have the best record in the NBA.

That would give the Silver and Black home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. It would also give Wemby's MVP hopes a massive boost.

Despite the Thunder being nearly as red-hot as the Spurs and SGA continuing to be an elite offensive player, he doesn't have MVP in the bag just yet. That's just how excellent Wembanyama has been.

Even so, time is running out for Wembanyama to close the gap in the award race. The Spurs must at least match the Thunder's record to have the best NBA record due to the tiebreaker.

Were it to happen, then SGA's biggest case for repeating as MVP gets wiped out. In that scenario, it's entirely possible that award voters give Wembanyama the nod considering most expected the Spurs to only win around 40 games.

San Antonio could close out the season undefeated. However, that seems unlikely with them playing on the road against the L.A. Clippers as well as playing the Denver Nuggets twice. More likely, they will finish the season 5- 2.

That would still result in them winning 60 games, but it may not give Wembanyama the boost needed to overtake SGA. Ultimately, San Antonio must win all their remaining games, while OKC must lose two of their last six regular-season games.

That would tie them at 64-18 and give San Antonio the best record in the league. It's Wembanyama's best hope to win MVP this season. Let's hope the last two weeks of the season play out exactly like that.
