It didn't take long for the fireworks to fly in the second of two premier NBA matchups tonight. The Spurs and Bucks follow an OKC and Cleveland game that will shoot to the top of the game of the year category, and the way it started, you would think they would have their own nomination to submit, but the action swung to the Bucks side in the second quarter.

Still, the marquee talent has given fans something to talk about.

Wembanyama and Giannis are giving fans a show

Victor Wembanyama came out and hit his one-legged three-pointer after getting his defender to bite hard on a pump fake from 25 feet away. Giannis Antetekounmpo spun off his man and threw down one of his signature monster dunks. But then Wemby dropped the jaws of every fan watching from the Fiserv Forum to France.

Watching Wembanyama induces all sorts of laughs because he does things that no man his size should be able to do. His step-back jumpers and shifty handles are already enough to make defenders throw their hands up, but when he's putting a feathery touch on moves like this, just go home.

The move gets even better when you get to watch it from a direct angle.

Seconds after the move, my brother texted my phone with three words. "Okay, Vic lol." It's short and sweet, yet it describes so much. Watching this kid produces so many incredulous responses. Eyes pop open, behinds shoot up from their seats, and mouths hang agape when the Alien gets in his bag.

Spurs will have to dig deep to come back

After a closely contested first quarter, the Silver and Black find themselves down 65-46. The Bucks tightened their defense, and the Spurs couldn't make shots. The good news is that San Antonio isn't turning over the ball, so they're taking care of their possessions. It's often a make-or-miss league, and Milwaukee's players making their attempts at a high clip.

They entered this game as the second-best 3-point shooting team in the league, and they showed it in the second quarter. Victor Wembanyama didn't score a single point in the period, while Devin Vassell only managed to pour in three to add to the five he scored in the opening quarter.

The third quarter has been a strength of this team through much of the season, and they'll need to bring the energy again if they want to storm back and make this a game. Otherwise, they'll be run off the floor in embarrassing fashion on national TV.
