This year's 2025 NBA Draft could prove to be a big night for the San Antonio Spurs. They have two lottery picks, and while they are likely to pick Dylan Harper second overall, it's anyone's guess what they'll do with the 14th pick.

There have been rumblings that they could move that pick in a blockbuster deal for Kevin Durant, but that is far from a guarantee.

If the Spurs ultimately keep the 14th overall pick, then they have a few solid choices. While some of the players originally expected to be in the range have seen their draft stock skyrocket, the Spurs have five excellent options to choose from. They also have some potential trade options as well, but what would a perfect draft night look like for the Spurs?

The Spurs’ perfect draft night should look something like this:

The five potential options with the 14th pick include Carter Bryant, Rasheer Fleming, Thomas Sorber, Cedric Coward, and Joan Beringer. Bryant has increased his stock, possibly putting him out of reach unless the draft breaks just right for the Spurs.

He has ready-made potential as a three-and-D wing with potential for more playmaking down the road. Sorber has what it takes to make an immediate impact as a backup center. He has elite finishing ability in the paint and has the length, defensive instincts, and timing making him a solid choice at 14.

Despite him consistently being mocked in the twenties, Fleming appears tailor-made to be a rotation player on the Spurs. He has good size for a power forward at 6-9 with an eye-popping 7-5 wingspan. Fleming is also a good athlete, is a lob threat in the pick and roll, and is a solid 3-point shooter. He is even a versatile defensive player to boot.

Coward is a bit of a draft sleeper, with his NBA Combine performance helping to improve his stock. He has the physical tools to thrive in the NBA with a sturdy 6'6" frame, a 7'2 wingspan, and an eye-popping 38.5 max vertical leap. He could thrive as a three-and-d wing who is already a good shooter and has experience as a skilled on-ball defender.

Beringer isn't nearly as NBA-ready as the other three prospects but could still have a high ceiling nonetheless. At 6-10 and with a 7-6 wingspan, he has the physical profile to be a talented center in the NBA. With him being just 18.5 years old, there is still plenty of room for him to grow.

As is, he projects as a center who can set screens, roll to the rim, and finish the paint. Defensively, he is skilled at blocking shots and has dazzling footwork that allows him to effortlessly defend on the perimeter.

Who should the Spurs draft?

If the Spurs had a pick in the 20s, then Beringer would likely be their choice. If the Spurs choose to keep the pick, then Fleming checks the most boxes and should be the selection at 14. However, if the Spurs can get Durant with the 14th pick, Harrison Barnes, and Devin Vassell, then they should absolutely make that deal given the potential upside.

With the 38th pick, the Spurs should hopefully be able to draft a future backup big man. Two options that will hopefully be available are Maxine Raynaud and Hansen Yang.

Raynaud and Yang are both 7'2 and skilled, with Raynaud posting big numbers in his senior season at Stanford while Yang impressed with his play at the NBA Combine. Both would be an excellent choice at 38, given the team's need for a backup center.

Overall, a perfect draft night would involve the Spurs drafting Harper second, making a trade for Durant, and selecting Raynaud and Yang. After all, it would give them a potential future star, a current superstar, and a possible backup center all in one night.
