If you weren't already juiced up for the regular season, Stephon Castle has the remedy for you. He's not your regular physician, but he's got what you need to inject the enthusiasm for professional basketball into your veins. Take two posters and call your doctor's office in the morning.

His first one was ridiculous enough. San Antonio fans already know how athletic the former Huskies star is, so we know that we're going to see a lot of these throughout his career. But that doesn't make them any less exciting. When he pulled the next one off just four minutes later, I'm sure everyone hopped off their couches just as fast as I did, and I didn't even mean to. (It was a natural reflex)

Castle has been disrespected too much this offseason
Castle has been treated like some sort of afterthought this offseason, and it's one of the most ridiculous fake storylines we've seen all summer. Dylan Harper is going to be a star, but so is Steph. That's the benefit of drafting two top-five lottery picks in consecutive years.
Harper's presence doesn't, all of a sudden, make the reigning Rookie of the Year forget how to play basketball, nor does it stunt his growth, making him a liability. Both players can thrive together, and having De'Aaron Fox there to lead the way is nothing less than a strong advantage.
NBA writers and analysts have acted as if this were a spinoff of Hancock, where if the trio of guards are in proximity to each other, they lose their ability to play basketball. What they're forgetting is that this is 2025, and with so many talented players, those accustomed to having the ball often spend plenty of time without it. They'll be just fine.
Castle has shown that he can take what he's worked on during the offseason and put it into live action with no trouble. When asked about what he worked on to improve his game, he told reporters that making his reads quicker was a point of emphasis. Playmaking is going to be more important than ever on a team so deep with Victor Wembanyama needing the ball, and that work is already paying off.
The explosive guard from the Peach State racked up five assists in the first quarter of the Pacers game, finding his teammates for easy shots like there were eyes in the back of his head. He's growing, and the team is already benefiting from it. But he hasn't forgotten to stay aggressive. That's what makes fans make the Victor Wembanyama stinkface. (below)
