The San Antonio Spurs pulled off a trade for De'Aaron Fox on Sunday night without giving up rookie Stephon Castle (or Vassell, Sochan, and Johnson). Brian Wright has turned into a legend. There's something special about when San Antonio does business with Sacramento and Chicago.
San Antonio sent Zach Collins/Tre Jones to Chicago and Sidy Cissoko to Sacramento. The Spurs also parted with four first-round picks (including a 2025 first-round pick via Charlotte that will become a second-round pick in 2026) and two second-round picks. They kept their picks from the Hawks and the 2031 pick swap with the Kings. Talk about a heist.
The trade means it's time to review SA's updated draft picks. Here's a spoiler: the rest of the league should officially be scared about what the Spurs are building (if they weren't already).

San Antonio is still stacked, even after acquiring Fox. The Spurs had leverage, as SA was reportedly the team at the top of the guard's wishlist. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026, but all signs indicate he'll sign a new deal to stay in Texas with Wembanyama.
