The Spurs and Rockets have put out their official injury reports for tomorrow night's clash in Austin. After a rough game against OKC, fans no doubt want to see the Silver and Black's full cast give it another go, but that may not happen. De'Aaron Fox and Keldon Johnson are listed as questionable.

Spurs injury report

De'Aaron Fox - Questionable (Right wrist sprain)
Keldon Johnson - Questionable (Mouth laceration)
Tobias Harris - Out (Left calf strain)
Jayden Quaintance - Out (Right knee surgery)

Rockets injury report

Steven Adams - Questionable (Right calf tightness)
Reed Sheppard - Questionable (Left knee contusion)

The Spurs haven't seen this Rockets team at full strength

Spurs and Rockets faced off four times during the 2025-26 campaign. San Antonio won the series 3-1, with the final two wins coming by double digits (111-99 and 145-120). Houston was shorthanded last season, with Fred VanVleet missing the whole year and Steven Adams out for most of it.

Their win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night was a statement that they're healthy and ready to compete. The Mavs looked completely out of their depth, and the Rockets' defense squeezed the life out of their opponent's offense in the second quarter. It was borderline cruel. Dallas spent the rest of the game playing catch-up but couldn't.

With VanVleet back in the lineup, the rest of Ime Udoka's personnel can go back to playing their regular positions. They no longer have to rely on an offensively raw Amen Thompson to run the sets while learning on the fly for a team trying to be a contender.

The Spurs get another real challenge while trying to figure things out

San Antonio still has more talent top to bottom, but the Spurs are still trying to figure out their rotation around the three-guard lineup. The unit did fine together on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 12 minutes they played together, but the rest of the game was chaos.

I believe the easiest thing to do would be to just put Dylan Harper back on the bench. Even when that group struggles on defense, Harp is such an explosive scorer; he can counterpunch all game.

If they're not going to stop teams from dominating the lane when Victor Wembanyama takes a breather, the least they could do is keep pace. However, I'm not married to being correct, so I will fully welcome the Spurs just figuring this out. They'll certainly be hoping that starts Friday night.

The game tips off at the Moody Center at 8:30 pm CT. It's the first of three games in Austin this season for the Silver and Black. The other two will come during the Rodeo Road Trip on February 26 versus the Grizzlies and February 28 against the Nuggets.
