After a strong showing at NBA All-Star weekend, the San Antonio Spurs could be poised for a big 2027 All-Star Game. Stars Victor Wembanyama and De'Aaron Fox both represented the Spurs well, and next year there could be another player joining them.

Surprisingly enough, San Antonio has never had three All-Stars in the same year, but that may happen next season. Stephon Castle had a case to be an all-star this year, with him having arguably a better season than Fox.

No shade to Fox, who has played surprisingly well considering that he is playing out of position at shooting guard. However, Castle was equally deserving to make the All-Star team given his two-way impact.

Even a small improvement from him could see Wembanyama, Fox, and Castle all make the All-Star Game. That would mark the first time in franchise history that the Spurs have three All-Star representatives in the same season.

Wembanyama, Fox and Castle may all be all-stars next season

Hall of Famers Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili were each multi-time All-Stars and played together for more than a decade. Nevertheless, they never made the all-star team together.

The fact that the Spurs got two All-Stars this season was partly because they have the third-best record in the NBA. The Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder each had two, so it made sense for Fox to be included when it came time to announce an injury replacement.

Next season, the Spurs will hopefully get off to an even better start and be able to add Castle to the mix. His star has been on the rise all season, and his historic 40-point, 12-rebound, 12-assist game turned heads, helping him earn NBA Player of the Week honors.

He still has a ways to go before he can become an all-star, but perhaps not as much as some may assume. His shooting is an obvious flaw, as are his turnovers.

However, he's been a terrific mid-range shooter, hitting 44.2% of his shots from 10-22 feet. He is also shooting 41.2% on right corner threes and 32.5% on spot-up threes. Point being, he may still develop into a solid shooter.

Stephon Castle could be the next Spurs all-star

To offset his inconsistent jumper, he's lived in the paint and is shooting an impressive 67.1% at the rim. He also ranks second on the team in free throw attempts, drawing 5.8 free throws per game—a terrific number for a second-year player.

As far as playmaking is concerned, he has dramatically improved as a passer, averaging 7 assists per game, though he also averages 3.4 turnovers. He can still be careless with the ball, but turnovers normally decrease the more a young guard plays.

Castle is already an above-average defensive player. Even with him being tasked with guarding the other team's best perimeter player each game. With a few minor tweaks, Castle could have a strong case to make the all-star team next season.

That would possibly give the Spurs three all-stars with Wembanyama, Fox, and Castle. It would also solidify them as a formidable big three, with them having accomplished something not even Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili were able to do together.
