With the San Antonio Spurs' free agency options dwindling, there is one big move left to make, and it involves LeBron James. Now I know what many Spurs fans are thinking: "Why would the Spurs bring LeBron in?"

Well, he has already announced that he won't return to the Los Angeles Lakers next season. That means that he will be playing for a new team, and he is also apparently willing to take a steep pay cut to join a contender.

Although San Antonio just signed Tobias Harris to solve depth issues at power forward, adding LeBron is too good to pass up.

The Spurs are the perfect landing spot for LeBron James

San Antonio would be adding a first-ballot Hall of Famer to a team that won 62 games and made the NBA Finals last season. That would seemingly make San Antonio unstoppable. CBS Sports' Sam Quinn echoed that sentiment.

He also points out that by partnering with the Spurs and Victor Wembanyama, LeBron could win an elusive fifth and sixth championship. In that case, LeBron could match Michael Jordan in terms of titles and, with his longevity, possibly finally surpass him in the GOAT debate.

It wouldn't be all about him, however. The Spurs' goal is to win a championship, and adding LeBron at power forward would allow them to shore up a major weakness.

Spurs fans may hate the idea but LeBron could deliver them a title

Despite the Spurs reportedly not having any interest in LeBron, that would be a huge mistake. Even at age 41, he can still swing games with his scoring and playmaking ability.

Imagine a pick-and-roll between him and Wembanyama; that would leave defenses scrambling. Yes, other Spurs would have to sacrifice to accommodate playing with LeBron.

That would include Julian Champagnie, Tobias Harris, and Carter Bryant, who all play the four, but the potential with him on the Spurs is obviously tantalizing.

Ultimately, if LeBron wants to play in San Antonio and help the Spurs win championships, the team should be more than willing to make that happen. However, there may be other teams that have a better chance of luring him there.
