The NBA offseason has been a monotonous marathon for diehard hoop heads over the last couple of months, but the finish line is finally in sight as training camp is right around the corner. While watching the FIBA World Cup unfold has scratched the basketball itch, San Antonio Spurs fans are ready to see their favorite franchise kick off the Victor Wembanyama era.
When do NBA training camps begin?
Teams that are participating in preseason games outside of the United States can start training camp on September 27th. San Antonio is not part of that group, and they must wait another week before all the positional battles and on-court activities commence.
The Spurs will officially open training camp on October 3rd, and their veterans can begin reporting to the team on October 2nd at 11 AM CT. Their brand-new, state-of-the-art practice facility at The Rock at La Cantera should open in time to host training camp.
When will the Spurs host Media Day?
San Antonio has not announced a date for Media Day, but the ball club held this event one day before training camp opened last season. Should that be the case this year, Media Day could fall on October 2nd, but Air Alamo will update readers as information comes in.
