The Spurs had one of its highlights of the season on Friday, stunning the New York Knicks in overtime despite Jalen Brunson scoring 61 points.
Victor Wembanyama was incredible, yet again, scoring 40 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in the Friday win, and will look to continue his fine play against a Warriors team that is desperate for wins as it continues its cross-country road trip.

Warriors vs. Spurs Key Players to Watch
Golden State Warriors
Stephen Curry: Curry is trying to will the Warriors back to the postseason, but isn’t getting a ton of help. Because of this, he has seen his numbers fall off in March, averaging a season-low 21 points per game this month while shooting 41% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc.
San Antonio Spurs
Victor Wembanyama: The legend continues to grow for the Spurs rookie, who put up 40 points and 20 rebounds in an overtime win against the Knicks. While San Antonio hasn’t had the team success this season, Wembanyama has proven that he is as unique of a prospect to come in the league as they come.
Warriors vs. Spurs Prediction and Pick
The difference between these two teams isn’t as great as this point spread indicates. The Spurs have still been a net negative over the last month, but the team has been far more competitive. The team has won three straight games, and the Warriors are playing league-average basketball over the balance of March, with a +1.9 net rating, per NBA.com.
While Golden State won in early March by 10, the two prior meetings featured a 13-point Spurs two days prior win and a six-point loss back in November.
Further, this is a brutal scheduling spot for the Warriors, playing its fifth game on the road in a cross-country road swing. After conquering an elite guard in Jalen Bruson on Friday, I think the Spurs can do it again and cover a massive point spread as home underdogs.
