Since Victor Wembanyama arrived on the scene, he has constantly been flooded with high respect from some of the top dogs in the association. All-time greats such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant headline some names, calling their shots for Victor to be special for a long time. The newest name on that list is New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson.

After the two faced off for the second time this season in a battle that came down to the final shot, Williamson was asked about Wembanyama, and the former Duke Blue Devil had some high praise for the French phenom.

Zion had a handful of prolific comments to describe Wembanyama, such as "a very special player," "we haven't seen anything like that," and that "he could get defensive players of the year and MVPs."

The Pelicans forward was the last player in recent memory to be given the "generational" title, as Zion was known for his freakish athleticism and bully-ball style of play.

Williamson now adds his name to the long list of players who have already given their flowers to the number one overall pick, in a list that is seamlessly growing day by day. It's already beginning to take place, but it's only a matter of time before Victor Wembanyama is one of the league's most respected.
