5) Artis Gilmore - 700 blocks

Artis Gilmore was one of the most dominant basketball players of the 1970s and 1980s. He played 17 seasons as a pro, spending the majority of his career with the ABA's Kentucky Colonels and later with the NBA's Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.

Gilmore's incredible stamina and physical strength enabled him to play an impressive 670 consecutive games, earning him the nickname "the A-Train." His remarkable career saw him achieve countless accolades, including being named ABA MVP in 1972, ABA Rookie of the Year in 1972, and being selected to the NBA All-Star team six times.

Gilmore was known for his height of over 7 feet and shot-blocking skills, which made him one of the best players of his time. He played for the Spurs from 1982 to 1987, for a total of 5 seasons. Although he joined the team later in his career, his impact on the defensive aspect of the team was significant. Gilmore averaged 1.8 blocks per game over 380 games with the Spurs, accumulating 700 overall, and remains the fifth-highest blocker in Spurs history.
