The San Antonio Spurs will be back in action for the annual Las Vegas Summer League and California Classic in Sacramento. There has been tons of speculation about who the team would bring along for the ride, and they have officially announced their roster.

The roster includes 2022 first-round draft picks Malaki Branham and Blake Wesley, who join a couple of familiar faces in Dominick Barlow and Julian Champagnie. San Antonio is also taking 2023 second-rounder and undrafted two-way rookie Sir'Jabari Rice to the California Classic.

While their Sacramento roster doesn't have Victor Wembanyama or Jeremy Sochan, the former is expected to make an appearance at Las Vegas Summer League. The team has already announced Wemby will play to some degree in Vegas, though we have no clue how much we will see the number one pick on the court. Sochan will not suit up in either event.

The California Classic is in Sacramento from July 3rd-5th, and then the Spurs will head to Las Vegas Summer League from July 7th-17th. San Antonio will play at least six games, two in Sacramento and four in Las Vegas.

While all eyes are on Wembanyama, the Spurs are set to be exciting as they are brimming with talent across their young roster. Sochan just had a very productive rookie season as he became a day-one starter and made his name known across the NBA. Branham blew up later in the season and showed off the potential to become a high-level scorer in the league. Blake Wesley even showed off his speed and defensive acumen while working between Austin and San Antonio.

The Spurs will have fierce competition as they will face off against some of the top prospects from the 2023 NBA Draft. They'll play Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets twice, once in Sacramento and once in Vegas. They will also go toe to toe with Scoot Henderson and the Portland Trail Blazers in Las Vegas. They will even have a contest against Bilal Coulibaly, Wembanyama's former Metropolitans 92 teammate, when they play the Washington Wizards.

Wembanyama or not, the Summer League Spurs are sure to be entertaining as San Antonio kicks off a new era. The Spurs start their California Classic schedule on Monday versus the Hornets.
