Things are just getting easier and easier for San Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray.
Against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, the NBA All-Star hopeful needed just three quarters to post yet another triple-double on the season. Putting up 23 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes, Murray's eighth triple-double of the season wasn't even the highlight of the night.
In the third quarter of what turned into a 118-96 blowout win, Dejounte Murray drive right off of a pick-and-roll with Drew Eubanks. With the gap closing in near the paint, he dished a bounce pass that you might have to watch twice to believe.
ok, the dunk was nice but the dime was NASTY! ?

Yes, Dejounte nutmegged himself with the feed that led to a Eubanks dunk so powerful that the Thunder had to call a timeout. It was just one of 14 total assists for Murray on the night and will likely end up on multiple best-play-of-the-night countdowns.
"I saw him throw it between his legs and I thought, don't mess this up," said Eubanks after the game. His relieved reaction as the timeout was called was priceless.

Soon after the exciting play, Murray pulled down his 10th board of the night to seal another triple-double just in time to sit the entire fourth with it in hand.
As I said in my pre-game prediction of the matchup, this was a good chance for Dejounte Murray to put some separation between himself and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander if a spot on the Western Conference All-Star opened up due to an injury or COVID protocols. Shai finished with just 13 points on 5-of-21 shooting.
Murray's swagger is starting to grow with each passing game, and that could mean some big things for the future of the Spurs.
