After a road trip that went much better than many expected, the San Antonio Spurs will now enjoy the confines of the AT&T Center for five straight games, beginning with the New York Knicks.

Starting the road trip with just a 4-13 record, the Spurs return home 8-14 with a chance to make up some ground against a spiraling Knicks squad and a decimated Nuggets team. With renewed confidence, their fate is now in their hands.

San Antonio will need to get back to the lockdown defense that allowed them to win four straight against a Knicks team that has lost three straight and hasn't won in San Antonio since 2014.

New York is coming off a 113-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets team that was missing several key guys from their rotation. They've lost four of their last five and have been giving up 115 points per game in their last three contests.

San Antonio Spurs vs Knicks Prediction

The San Antonio Spurs are finding their rhythm, and I don't think a narrow loss to the Phoenix Suns will change that.

San Antonio is proving they can hang with the best of them defensively while also playing decent enough offense to win some games. If they can avoid the long shooting droughts that have been plaguing them all season, the Silver and Black should take this one going away.

Since I've been predicting against the Spurs for the last few games, it's time to go boldly the other direction. At the risk of causing a jinx, I think the Spurs have this one wrapped up by the end of the third quarter.
