The Rivalry bracket

This range is self-explanatory. Whether the rivalry is old or new, it's worth the price of admission based on the players on those teams.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers- 11/15/24

Anthony Davis and LeBron James were instrumental in stopping Victor Wembanyama from accomplishing the impossible and bringing home a gold medal for France. It would have been the first time in the nation's history that they won gold in basketball. He has some payback to give them, and while it won't make up for what he missed out on, there's no doubt that he wants to dominate them in response. A renewed rivalry could be on the way if the Lakers can get their future together.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets- 10/26/24

Houston's fans are insufferable because they think their franchise somehow compares to the greatness San Antonio has presented the world with for decades. They have some good players and a great coach, making them a team the Spurs will be forced to go through to reach their goals. Alamo City's fans wouldn't have it any other way. Bring it.

San Antonio Spurs @ OKC - 10/30/24

The Thunder are responsible for some of San Antonio's biggest losses last season. That's reason enough to want the payback, but the budding rivalry can't be ignored. These teams both have young rosters and, if managed right, will be competing with one another for high stakes for a long time. The Chet Holmgren/Victor Wembanyama battles have been worth the price of admission, and fans want to see the next installment ASAP.
