Spurs Schedule: Paul's first game vs. Steph, Warriors and 7 other must-watch dates
The NBA schedule has officially been released, and fans can begin planning which games they'll go to in any given city. It's a different type of excitement when planning trips and events surrounding your favorite sports team than being hyped about a new movie release or the popular chain restaurant popping up in your neighborhood. The feeling is palpable. There's something about getting out into a crowd of like-minded fans and cheering on your squad that's special.
The first game of the regular season is still over two months away, but that's less than half of the offseason for teams like the Spurs. Time will start to move quickly, and before you know it, training camp will be here. Victor Wembanyama is entering his second season with San Antonio and now has Chris Paul by his side, so there's already a ton to be excited about, and with the schedule available, fans can start circling their calendars for the premiere matchups they'll look forward to the most.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors- 11/23/24
Chris Paul gets his first shot at his old team. Now, CP3 has quite a few 'old teams' at this point, but it's always nice to see a new addition get a win against the organization they just came from. Chris Paul has had many battles with the Golden State Warriors over the years, so it's nothing new to him.
He battled them religiously as a member of the LA Clippers and came close to beating them in the playoffs as a member of the Houston Rockets. When you add in Steph Curry's performance at the end of the gold medal game in the Paris Olympics against Wemby, that's even more reason to look forward to some get-back.
