Spurs vs Kings Odds, Prediction, Pick, TV for Mar. 3
By Josh Paredes
If the San Antonio Spurs are serious about making a bid for the play-in tournament, taking care of the Sacramento Kings would be a decent step in the right direction.
Sacramento and San Antonio will likely have to battle it out with each other, the Pelicans, the Trail Blazers, and the Lakers for the 9th and 10th seeds in the Western Conference this season. Only two of those five will likely get in, as seeds seven and eight seem decently comfortable now.
The Spurs are coming off a disappointing finish against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, losing 118-105 in their rodeo road trip finale. Still, they finished with an even 4-4 record on the trip.
Meanwhile, the Kings fell by 30 to the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday and face San Antonio on the second half of a back-to-back.
The Kings recently snapped the Spurs' three-game win streak in the series, defeating San Antonio 121-114 in December.

San Antonio Spurs vs Sacramento Kings Prediction
I feel like the term "trap game" is overused, so let me just say this is the type of game in which the Spurs could inexplicably come out flat. This is their first home game in a month, Gregg Popovich will tie the all-time head coaching record with a win, and the Kings are on a back-to-back. All of those signs should point to them coming out focused and leading wire-to-wire.
That said, Domantas Sabonis had his way with the Spurs when the Pacers visited in November and has been playing well in his new role. De'Aaron Fox is also always a handful. The Spurs cannot afford to take this team lightly and lose a game they clearly should win once again, especially against another team in the hunt for the 10th seed.
Opponent Role Player to Watch: The Spurs couldn't find an answer for 6-11 center Damian Jones in the last meeting between these teams, as he scored 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting and grabbed eight boards. Zach Collins may have his hands full yet again.
Although the Spurs could take a while to get going, I see Murray coming back into form and leading them to a win in the fourth quarter.
Spurs 117, Kings 111
