Spurs vs Grizzlies Bet Odds, Prediction, Pick, TV for Feb. 28
By Josh Paredes
If the San Antonio Spurs want to end their rodeo road trip with a positive record, they'll have to do something they haven't done since 2020 -- beat the Memphis Grizzlies.
The last time the Silver and Black topped Memphis, DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge were leading the club while Devin Vassell was an end-of-the-bench player. Coming off a career-high 22 points as a starter, he'll certainly factor in much more this time around.
The Spurs come off a very valiant effort against the Miami Heat, falling by just four points despite resting their three most productive players -- Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl, and Keldon Johnson.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies overcame the Chicago Bulls at the United Center 116-110 behind a career-high 46 points from Ja Morant on Saturday.
The Grizzlies have won the last four matchups with San Antonio, last winning 118-110 on January 26th.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Grizzlies Prediction
Obviously, the main draw in this game will be the star-studded backcourt matchup of Ja Morant versus Dejounte Murray, both of which made their NBA All-Star Game debut a week ago. As it currently stands, Morant has scored more points against the Spurs than he has against any other team in the league, with 222.
Beyond that, Memphis has an extremely strong supporting cast around Morant that has led them to their surprising 42-20 record. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane particularly stick out, as does backup point guard, Tyus Jones.
Opponent Role Player to Watch: This could be about six different guys on a given night with a team like Memphis. I'm just going to choose the one that's impressed me the most and killed the Spurs in their last meeting: Desmond Bane. His jump shot is deadly from both the outside and mid-range, so San Antonio will need to focus on staying with him on screens and not using his defender to double Morant too often.
Memphis is on a mission and seems to have just a few too many weapons to pick against them, although I expect a hard fight from San Antonio.
Grizzlies 114, Spurs 107
