On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs will be on the second night of a back-to-back while the Indiana Pacers will be on three days of rest. Still, they'll be slightly favored when they hit the court.

The Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz on Saturday, with the 104-102 victory making Coach Popovich the winningest regular season head coach in NBA history.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers are on a three-game losing skid, recently falling 127-124 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. New acquisition Tyrese Haliburton has been as good as advertised since joining Indiana, averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game on 42% shooting from downtown.

In their last meeting, the Pacers defeated the Spurs 131-118 behind a 24-point, 13-rebound performance from Domantas Sabonis, who was since traded to Sacramento.

San Antonio Spurs vs Indiana Pacers Prediction

The NBA's scheduling department did the Spurs dirty for this game. Although the Spurs haven't been playing poorly on the second night of back-to-backs, having one in which the opponent has had this much rest before is unfortunate.

With all that said, many of the Pacers who played so well in the last meeting are either departed or inactive, including Sabonis, Myles Turner, T.J. McConnell, and Caris LeVert.

Opponent Role Player to Watch: Rookie Chris Duarte lit up San Antonio with four threes and 18 points in the November meeting. He needs to be covered much more closely this time around.

Update: The Spurs are resting Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl, and Keldon Johnson for this game. As such, I'm changing my prediction. It'll be tough for San Antonio to come away with a win without their three best guys.
