The San Antonio Spurs are finally learning to play more complete games and they'll certainly need to do that against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

The Spurs are enjoying their first winning streak of the season following their dominant 114-83 win in Portland on Thursday behind some much-improved defense. Holding their last three opponents to an average of just 90 points, San Antonio is back to hovering around the top 10 in the NBA in defensive rating through 20 games.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are coming off a revenge win over the Phoenix Suns in which they led by as many as 27 and won by 22. After having one of the worst games of his career matched up against Mikal Bridges in game one of their series, Stephen Curry responded with 23 points on 6-of-11 shooting from downtown on Friday.

The Warriors won two of three meetings against the Spurs last season and won the last meeting 114-91 in February.

San Antonio Spurs vs Warriors Prediction

If there's any time the Spurs are going to steal one from the Warriors, it'll be Saturday. San Antonio is confident after winning three straight, is defending well, and has the rest factor on their side. Meanwhile, the Warriors will have finished their last game less than 24 hours before tipoff of this one.

There's a chance Steve Kerr could rest a key player or two given the short turnaround time, so that could also factor into an upset win for the Spurs.

With all that said, this Warriors team seems pretty much unstoppable and could beat most teams on a given night even without Curry. Golden State is the top defensive team in the league and near the top offensively for a reason.

The Spurs are more than capable of pulling off an upset, but they'd have to shoot lights out and defend to their highest abilities to do so. I can't see that happening for 48 minutes, which is what they'd need to come out of San Francisco with a win.
