Spurs Game Today: Spurs vs Thunder Odds, Prediction, Pick, TV for Nov. 7
By Josh Paredes
If the San Antonio Spurs are going to sweep their two-game road trip, they're going to have to hope the Oklahoma City Thunder don't imagine purple and gold on the court. Going into Sunday with a 2-6 record, the two wins the Thunder have recorded were both comeback victories after being down double digits to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Thunder have had a tough schedule so far, having to face the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, Warriors twice, and Lakers twice. Their slow start may be misleading, especially considering the season Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having so far.
Still, Oklahoma City is very beatable if the Spurs keep up their defensive efforts. San Antonio allowed its fewest points of the season by giving up just 89 to Orlando and are 9th in the NBA in defensive rating.
The Thunder took two of three against the Spurs last season and won the most recent matchup 107-102 on March 4, 2021.

San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction
So far, the Thunder haven't even been able to beat teams that are struggling like the Houston Rockets and LA Clippers. They were widely expected to be near the bottom of the standings all year for a reason.
Like the Spurs, the Thunder are in a rebuilding phase. Also like the Spurs, they have a guard emerging as a star as a result. The matchup of Gilgeous-Alexander and Dejounte Murray will be must-watch basketball and should provide plenty of highlight moments.
Overall, San Antonio has too much depth and much more experience than the young Thunder ballclub. They should come out of OKC with a comfortable victory if they play even close to their capabilities.
Look for the Spurs to establish themselves early in this one, but if they allow the Thunder to stick around, Shai will be waiting to take over. San Antonio has been consistently inconsistent so far this season, but I'm thinking they'll have just enough to avoid an upset.
