I'm starting to wonder if the San Antonio Spurs are tired of seeing Luka Doncic and the Mavericks on the other side of the court. Friday night's showdown in San Antonio will be the third time since October 28th the two teams will be meeting, with Dallas taking the first two.
So far, the Spurs have blown a 20-point lead for a loss to Dallas and were defeated again in early November despite leading them by two after three quarters. Friday, something is going to have to change for them to get a different result.
Still not having Jakob Poeltl in the lineup will be a major disadvantage for the Spurs once again, as his absence allowed for Boban Marjonavic and Dwight Powell to go off in the last meeting between these teams.
The Spurs will need to hope Drew Eubanks has another standout performance following his 18-point performance in a win over the Sacramento Kings. Another solid performance from Thaddeus Young will also go a long way.
For the Mavericks, Jalen Brunson will be one to watch, as he gave the Spurs more than they could handle to the tune of 31 points and 10 rebounds in their previous win.

San Antonio Spurs vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction
It's always hard to tell what's going to happen when these two Texas rivals meet. I like to think the Spurs' flaming hot shooting from the outside can continue, but nothing about the team's performance as a whole this season has been consistent.
Luka Doncic is the kind of superstar that can take a game over all by himself if the score is tight at the end. Dejounte Murray is working toward being that but isn't quite there yet.
I think this one should be a close affair once again, and it's hard to pick San Antonio until they prove they can stop the Mavericks in crunch time.
