The San Antonio Spurs have started off their preseason slow with two losses but will be looking to get their first win against the New Orleans Pelicans in a Sunday afternoon tilt.

San Antonio is coming off a 102-99 loss to the Orlando Magic, which saw them perform better than they did in their opener. Now the Spurs will look to see if they can continue to show improvements against a Pelicans team that will see a trimmed down Zion Williamson and a young squad with something to prove.

New Orleans Pelicans vs San Antonio Spurs Odds, Spread, Over/Under

FanDuel's odds show the Spurs as a 7.5-point underdog. The Pelicans are -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. San Antonio is +250 on the moneyline while New Orleans checks in at +-325.

Spurs vs. Pelicans prediction

There is no doubt the young group of San Antonio Spurs are improving with each passing preseason game and Sunday's game will be another test to see where they stack up against an up and coming team in the Western Conference.

While it'll be a tough match for the Spurs, it will likely be an offensive show for the fans who will choose to watch preseason over NFL football. In the end, I think the Pelicans' offense will be too much for the young Spurs squad to handle on defense, sending the Silver and Black to another preseason defeat.

Pelicans 125, Spurs 100
