The San Antonio Spurs have rearranged their roster with a handful of trades over the last couple of seasons, shipping familiar faces like Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Jakob Poeltl across conferences as the organization kickstarts a full-scale rebuild. Those trades have landed them a surplus of first and second-round picks, adding to their extensive stockpile of invaluable draft capital.

Though the front office has amassed an impressive collection of assets in recent years, all the protections and moving parts from these transactions might leave some Spurs fans wondering about the specific details. Where are these picks coming from? Will they parlay? And what year will we see them arrive in San Antonio? Those are questions the following list should hopefully answer.

2023 NBA Draft Picks

  • Spurs First-Round Pick (1st)
  • Raptors Second-Round Pick (44th)

2024 NBA Draft Picks

  • Spurs First-Round Pick
  • Hornets First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)
  • Raptors First-Round Pick (Top-Six Protected)
  • Lakers Second-Round Pick
  • Pelicans Second-Round Pick

2025 NBA Draft Picks

  • Spurs First-Round Pick
  • Bulls First-Round Pick (Top-Ten Protected)
  • Hawks First-Round Pick
  • Spurs Second-Round Pick
  • Bulls Second-Round Pick
  • Raptors Second-Round Pick

The Silver and Black could have as many as seven first and second-round selections apiece spread between the 2023, 2024, and 2025 NBA Drafts, providing them almost unlimited flexibility. The front office could package those picks to move up in the draft, trade into the first round, or acquire win-now players. They could also use them on upside swings to infuse the franchise with more talent.

San Antonio is less than 30 days from learning their fate at the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, and their sights are likely set on generational teenagers like Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson. General Manager Brian Wright will also have two second-rounders at his disposal, which he could invest in older prospects or low-risk, high-reward youngsters depending on what the team needs.
