After winning three of four on their road trip, the San Antonio Spurs look to start their homestand with a win against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
The Spurs are coming off consecutive wins over the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center and scored 138 in the latter matchup on 18-for-39 shooting from the outside. Keita Bates-Diop had the game of his life against the Lakers, scoring 30 points on a perfect 11-of-11 shooting in San Antonio's blowout win.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons are just 5-26 and have won only once since November 17th. Still, they had a near comeback win against Miami behind 28 points from former Spur Trey Lyles on Thursday. They're expected to be short-handed, with an extended list of players out for health and safety protocols while Jerami Grant is still out with a thumb injury. Others missing the game will include Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes, and Isaiah Stewart.
