The San Antonio Spurs (5-3) tip off against the Los Angeles Clippers (4-4) at 7:00pm CST later today at home. The Spurs have gotten off to a hot start but faced a 43-point loss in their last game and hope to get back on track. The Spurs enter as the 4.5-point underdog and get to play with Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson back in the starting five, while the Clippers are shorthanded.
San Antonio Spurs vs Clippers Odds, Spread, Over/under
The Clippers are favored against San Antonio by 4.5 points, and the over/under is set at 225.5 total points. On the moneyline, the Spurs are +158 and Los Angeles is -188. The two teams combine for 216.8 points per game on average, mostly due to the Clippers having a league-worse offense that puts up only 101 points per game.
Spurs starting lineup tonight
With a mostly healthy team, the Spurs will be trotting out their ideal starting five of Tre Jones, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, and Jakob Poeltl.
Spurs injury report
Romeo Langford is out with a toe injury, Isaiah Roby is out with illness, and Blake Wesley is out with an MCL sprain, but Zach Collins will be available, even with heel soreness. For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is out with a knee injury, and Robert Covington is out with illness.
San Antonio Spurs vs Clippers predictions
I very much believe that this could be a defining moment for Devin Vassell's devolpment. Going up against Paul George, this is a marquee matchup of the future and present. Both are elite two-way players who can hit a shot from deep, and if Vassell can post numbers in a close game then we can be certain that he has arrived. After a horrible loss to the Raptors on Wednesday and with a much more healthy roster, I actually am predicting the Spurs to win, 102-108.

Spurs next game and travel time
With no rest, the Spurs travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets tomorrow night at 8:00pm CST.
Air Alamo lock of the night
I lack the confidence to take the Spurs moneyline as a "lock," but taking the Spurs +4.5 at -110 odds on FanDuel is a hard bet to pass up. With no Kawhi, the Clippers will not have an answer for the Vassell/Johnson tandem, and one (or both) of them will have a big night. The Clippers are also not a great rebounding team, so maybe Jakob Poeltl can bounce back. Expect the Spurs to be the more talented team tonight.
