There will be plenty of familiar faces on the opponents' side of the court when the San Antonio Spurs host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.

After coming back from a heart condition scare that he thought ended his basketball career, LaMarcus Aldridge has had a revival in Brooklyn and is coming off his highest-scoring game of the season (27 points against Washington). Meanwhile, Patty Mills is having the best season of his career, averaging 13.4 points per game on a blistering 42.6% shooting mark from beyond the arc.

The Spurs have won two of their last three games, including a 118-96 blowout win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday in which Dejounte Murray added an eighth triple-double to his season total.

The Brooklyn Nets have alternated wins and losses for the last 10 games and are coming off a win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

The Nets have won the last four matchups in the series, narrowly defeating the Spurs 121-119 in overtime on January 9th. Derrick White, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and Doug McDermott were out for the game due to health and safety protocols.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Brooklyn Nets Prediction

While Kevin Durant will be out for the matchup as he recovers from a sprained MCL in his knee, the Brooklyn Nets will still have the two best players on the court in James Harden and Kyrie Irving. With that said, the Spurs played the Nets toe-to-toe in Brooklyn even with Durant and Harden both playing heavy minutes a few weeks ago.

With the Spurs finally the healthiest they've been since the season started, I expect a well-contested matchup that comes down to the wire in San Antonio.

Aldridge has been doing for the Nets what he did in the Alamo City for years, making 84 of his 144 attempts from the mid-range for 58.3%.

The Spurs' best shot for an upset here is catching fire from downtown, but I think the Nets pull away late with their experience.
