It should be a much fairer fight this time around when the San Antonio Spurs match up with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Earlier this month, the Spurs were without three starters in Derrick White, Doug McDermott, and Keldon Johnson as well as key bench player Devin Vassell in a 119-100 loss in Philadelphia. Joel Embiid took full advantage, scoring 31 points and nabbing 12 boards while getting to the free throw line for 15 attempts.

Sunday, the Spurs will be fully healthy for the grudge match.

San Antonio is coming off a 117-102 loss to the Nets in which they had no answers for Brooklyn's stars James Harden (37 points) and Kyrie Irving (24 points).

Meanwhile, the 76ers blew a 24-point second-half lead to the struggling LA Clippers at home to lose 102-101 in the closing seconds.

Philadelphia is on a six-game winning streak over San Antonio and hasn't lost to the Spurs since December 2018.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

The Spurs are a good team when fully healthy, but their cold spells from the outside have been their undoing in several losses this season. This was the case against Brooklyn when they made just eight of their 29 attempts that included an 0-5 night from Devin Vassell.

The 76ers and head coach Doc Rivers were visibly angry after dropping one of the most winnable games of the year to the Clippers.

Joel Embiid has also been a menace who no one in the league has been able to stop all season. Jakob Poeltl, Jock Landale, and just about every big on the roster are going to be in for a long night in this one.

Much like my prediction with Brooklyn that unfortunately came true, I think the Spurs play this one close once again until the fourth quarter until the Sixers' experience puts them over the top. The only way they can prove me wrong? Light Philly up from the outside.
