Rating the Spurs roster 1-10 by how perfectly the pieces fit around Wembanyama

How well do the Spurs' big men fit around Wembanyama?
Bigs: Jeremy Sochan, Harrison Barnes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Zach Collins, and Charles Bassey
Harrison Barnes and Jeremy Sochan are both technically power forwards, but Sochan will probably defend wings. For simplicity, we'll say they are both big men. Barnes will add another veteran to the starting lineup, with him having more experience than Vassell, Sochan, and Wembanyama combined with him entering his 13th season.
However, he isn't just starting because of his years in the NBA. He can help the Spurs with his being a surprisingly efficient offensive player. He's a career 37.9% 3-point shooter, above-average, as is his 56.9% true shooting percentage. Having a big man who can reliably shoot from outside, score efficiently inside the arc, and defend his position is valuable, and he should mesh well with Wemby as a result.
After being forced to play point guard, Jeremy Sochan looked far better when he was eventually switched to his natural position. He showed better court vision after the experiment and appeared more aggressive shooting threes but will need to show more improvement to be a great fit in the starting five. Fortunately, he was often terrific at defending the opposing team's best player, a valuable skill for a four.
Zach Collins had an awful start to last season but settled down after the all-star break. With him back as the backup five, the Spurs need him to score reliably in the post, pass, hit open threes, and knock skulls around. Those are all things he can do.
Fan favorite Sandro Mamukelashvili has a reasonable chance of earning time as a backup power forward. He impressed last season when playing alongside Wembanyama, with Mamu being a skilled cutter who effortlessly moves into open spaces to make himself open for passes. He was also an effective rebounder, passer, and 3-point shooter.
Lastly, Charles Bassey will return to the Spurs next season after briefly being waived. He probably won't be available to start the season, but if he can recover from his ACL tear, he should be a fine third-big who can step into a bigger role with Wemby or Collins.
Overall, the Spurs have a deep and diverse big-man core that complements Wembanyama's strengths. There are a lot of question marks, including Collins' play, Sochan's shooting, Bassey's health, and whether Mamu can earn minutes. Still, there is plenty of mix-and-match potential.
