3. Willy Hernangómez

Despite re-signing Mamukelashvili, the Spurs still have questions they must answer when it comes to their backup big man rotation. If the team is still searching for someone to play next to Wembanyama in taller lineups, then Willy Hernangomez could be a solid pick-up. At 6-foot-11 and 250 pounds, he is a big body that could complement their slender centeripiece.

His proficiency as a roll-man could help a half-court offense that struggled against set defenses, but his lack of athleticism might not fit with a roster that looked to sprint in transition as much as possible last season. Hernangomez has some potential on the perimeter, but it's his inside play that will be the most utilized part of his game if he signs with San Antonio. He would also add another solid defensive rebounder to a group that ranked 23rd in that category a year ago.

Though not the greatest free agent on the market, Hernangomez would be a serviceable backup for Zach Collins. And he could take some pressure away from Wembanyama when matched up against more traditional bruisers.
