Top of the class! The San Antonio Spurs selected Jeremy Sochan with the ninth overall selection of the NBA Draft. Time to gear up with the latest.
The newest member of the San Antonio Spurs? That would be former Baylor standout Jeremy Sochan. San Antonio selected the forward with the No. 9 overall pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday night, adding even more youth and talent to an up-and-coming roster.
Sochan averaged 25.1 minutes per game during his freshman campaign for Baylor, averaging 9.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per night.
His shooting numbers and stats don't set the world on fire, so why was he drafted in the top 10? Because he's a wrecking crew defensively.
Sochan guards multiple positions, rebounds well, and brings some definite Draymond Green vibes to the court.
He's got some work to do, but is there a better basketball coach to work with than Popovich? Exactly.
In the meantime, you've got to gear up and show some love to the rookie.
