The All-Star Game is one of the most exhilarating events in the league every season. The best players on the planet square off in an exhibition setting that allows them to showcase their ridiculous skill and athleticism in front of millions of diehard basketball fans across the globe. Though it is little more than a glorified scrimmage, this pageant is home to some of the most iconic moments in NBA history.
The Spurs have been among the most well-represented organizations at the All-Star Game since the NBA-ABA merger. They have 12 players that have combined for a whopping 57 All-Star appearances, and San Antonio has only failed to send someone to the midseason festivities five times. With names like Tim Duncan and George Gervin in the rafters, the good guys have rarely watched from home.
San Antonio Spurs All-Time NBA All-Stars
1. Tim Duncan (15)
2. David Robinson (10)
3. George Gervin (9)
4. Tony Parker (6)
5. LaMarcus Aldridge (3)
6. Alvin Robertson (3)
7. Sean Elliott (2)
8. Artis Gilmore (2)
9. Manu Ginobili (2)
10. Larry Kenon (2)
11. Kawhi Leonard (2)
12. Dejounte Murray (1)
Tim Duncan and David Robinson were perennial MVP candidates from the second they set foot in the NBA, so it makes sense they were fixtures at the All-Star Game. With that said, it might surprise some Spurs fans to see Manu Ginobili near the bottom of this list, especially considering respected pundits regard the Naismith Hall of Famer as one of the greatest sixth men to ever grace the league.
Dejounte Murray is the most recent participant for the Silver and Black at the All-Star Game, earning the first nod of his career as an injury replacement for Draymond Green in 2022. San Antonio was on the sidelines in Salt Lake City last season, but that could soon change now that Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, and Jeremy Sochan headline a young roster with an abundance of high-end talent.
