Handing out leaguewide awards to the San Antonio Spurs

Most Valuable Player - Keldon Johnson
Despite his flaws, Keldon Johnson took the reigns as a leader for this inexperienced Spurs squad all season. Johnson played his part as a young veteran to perfection and had one of the best seasons of his burgeoning career.
Johnson provided a scoring spark all season, averaging 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 45.2% shooting. Early on, he showed off promising development in his three-ball before assuming a heavier workload due to injuries to Devin Vassell. After adjusting, Johnson showed us why he's the "Big Body" as he powered through defenders while driving to the rim.
One part of Keldon's game that showed promising development was his passing. In the backend of the season, Johnson averaged nearly four assists as his creation from drives improved, maturing from a bull in a china shop to a crafty opportunist in the lane.
While Johnson certainly played outside his ideal role, he helped keep his teammates competitive throughout the season regardless of the record.
