One of the most intriguing matchups in the Western Conference on Friday night is between the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs, as New Orleans needs a win to avoid the play-in tournament field in the West.

Victor Wembanyama is a must-watch right now, putting up massive statlines against Denver and New York in recent games, and he’s a prop target for me tonight.

Plus, there is a Spurs guard that could be undervalued with some key players on the injury report.

Let’s dive into the top prop bets for this matchup:

Spurs vs. Pelicans best NBA prop bets

  • Victor Wembanyama OVER 15.5 rebounds and assists
  • Zion Williamson UNDER 5.5 assists
  • Tre Jones 2+ 3-pointers made

Victor Wembanyama OVER 15.5 rebounds and assists

Superstar rookie Victor Wembanyama has been passing the ball at a high level as of late, and he’s averaging 12.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game over his last 15 matchups.

Wemby has 16 or more rebounds and assists in 10 of those 15 games, including 15 rebounds and eight dimes in his last game against Denver.

The Pelicans are ninth in the NBA in opponent rebounds per game, but Wemby’s size is unlike any other. He had 14 rebounds and seven dimes in his last meeting with the Pels.

Zion Williamson UNDER 5.5 assists

Zion Williamson is questionable for this game, but if he plays, I’m fading his assists prop.

The former No. 1 overall pick is seeing a bigger playmaking role with Brandon Ingram out, but he’s cleared 5.5 assists in just two of his last 12 games, averaging 4.2 assists per game over that stretch.

What’s concerning to me is that Williamson is averaging over 10 potential assists per game over that stretch, but New Orleans hasn’t come through enough for him to average six or more a game.

Fade Zion – especially if he’s at less than 100 percent – on Friday.

Tre Jones 2+ 3-pointers made

This prop is +190 at DraftKings Sportsbook, and I really like taking a shot on Tre Jones at this number with Keldon Johnson listed as questionable and Devin Vassell ruled out.

Jones has taken five, four and five shots from beyond the arc in each of his last three games, making multiple shots from deep in each matchup.

On the season, the Spurs point guard is shooting 35.1 percent from beyond the arc, and he’s facing a New Orleans team that is 24th in opponent 3-pointers made per game.

Jones is worth a shot at this price.
