For the final time in the 2023-24 regular season, the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs face off – this time in San Antonio.

The Mavs are in the thick of the playoff race in the Western Conference, and they’re heavily favored on the road, where they’ve gone 14-3 against the spread as road favorites.

Spurs fans aren’t going to want to bet on the Mavs to win and cover, but there are still ways to back Victor Wembanyama and company tonight.

I have a few angles in the prop market that I love for this game, featuring two young Spurs to go OVER their projections.

Let’s dive into the picks for this matchup:

Mavericks vs. Spurs best NBA prop bets

  • Tre Jones OVER 10.5 rebounds and assists
  • Victor Wembanyama OVER 23.5 points
  • Luka Doncic to record a triple-double

Tre Jones OVER 10.5 rebounds and assists

This is a value prop for Spurs point guard Tre Jones, who has cleared 10.5 rebounds and assists in five of his last six games.

Over this six-game stretch, Jones is averaging 8.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game, and there’s a chance those numbers could rise.

The Duke product is averaging 12.8 potential assists and 7.0 rebound chances per game over this stretch.

Asking Jones to pick up 11 rebounds and assists doesn’t seem like a major ask given his recent usage.

Victor Wembanyama OVER 23.5 points

Wemby went off in his last game against the Mavericks, scoring 26 points in just 27 minutes of action.

This is just the third time he’s facing Dallas this season (he missed the second meeting between these teams), but I like this matchup for the rookie since Dallas doesn’t have the size to deal with him in the pain – even with the acquisition of Daniel Gafford at the deadline.

There has been a key trend with Wemby’s scoring as of late. When he takes 16 or more shots, he’s a lock to score over 20 points (six straight games), but he’s had a few lower-shot games that have led to him falling short of this total.

He attempted 21 shots in his last game against Dallas, and he’s coming off a dazzling 33–point game where he shot 14-for-26 from the field.

If he can get that usage again, he should easily clear this number. I’ll roll with him to score in the mid-20s on Tuesday night.

Luka Doncic to record a triple-double

These teams have played three times this season, and Luka Doncic has picked up a triple-double in two of the matchups.

The last meeting, which was a blowout win for Dallas, saw Doncic play just 32 minutes, and he finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

If the Spurs can hang around a little longer at home, I love taking Luka in this prop. Even after missing a game with a hamstring injury, he returned to play 40 minutes and score 37 points in a win over Denver on Sunday.

I expect a similar role for Luka tonight.
