Breaking down the best prop bets for the Los Angeles Lakers-San Antonio Spurs matchup on Friday night.

For the second time in as many games, the San Antonio Spurs take on the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James missed the first meeting between these teams on Wednesday, but he’s likely going to be back in the lineup on Friday to face Victor Wembanyama and company.

San Antonio has lost 18 straight games, making it really hard to bet on the team in any capacity when it comes to the game lines.

So, why not take a shot at some props?

There is a bunch of value in the prop market – in my eyes – for some of the biggest names in this game.

Lakers vs. Spurs best NBA prop bets

  • Victor Wembanyama OVER 32.5 points and rebounds
  • Devin Vassell OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
  • LeBron James UNDER 15.5 assists and rebounds

Victor Wembanyama OVER 32.5 points and rebounds

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft is red hot right now, so why not take a Wemby prop when he’s playing on national television?

The Spurs big man has cleared 32.5 points and rebounds in six of his last eight games, and he hung 30 points and 13 boards on the Lakers on Wednesday.

With Anthony Davis (questionable) up in the air for this game, Wembanyama could end up having another huge night.

The Spurs young star is really coming into his own on the glass as well, posting six straight games with double-digit rebounds. He’s now averaging 10.7 boards per game on the season. I think he clears this prop for the seventh time in nine games tonight.

Devin Vassell OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

This is strictly a volume play for Devin Vassell, who has not shot the ball well over his last three games.

Vassell has turned in multiple 1-for-9 outings from 3-point range, and he was just 1-for-7 on Wednesday against the Lakers.

So, why go OVER?

Prior to this three-game stretch, Vassell had made four 3-pointers in four of six games, and he’s still taking them at a high volume. Since returning to the lineup (nine games, four starts), Vassell is averaging 2.6 made 3-pointers on 8.3 attempts per game.

Now, he gets to take on a Lakers team that ranks 27th in the NBA in opponent 3-pointers made per game this season. Vassell is due for a bounce-back outing.

LeBron James UNDER 15.5 assists and rebounds

This prop has been a tricky one for LeBron James, as he fills the stat sheet (as always) yet has only cleared this line 10 times in 23 games this season.

I am worried about the Lakers blowing out the Spurs tonight – especially since the team allowed things to stay close on Wednesday.

If James doesn’t play his usual minutes, it will be tough for him to get to this prop. Plus, LeBron is averaging 7.5 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game this season (14.2 rebounds and assists) which is nearly two short of what he needs to clear this prop.

I’ll go UNDER tonight.
