Even 12 seasons after departing from San Antonio, George Hill is still connected to the city. Fans not only remember the point guard for what he did on the court, but how he was an impeccable fit for the well-established team culture. He was a selfless player who always put winning over everything night in and night out.
Hill only played in 46 games last season, and the 37-year-old is past his prime. Despite entering the twilight of his career, he is another invaluable veteran who could help guide the younger generation with his leadership and playoff experience. He might even be able to teach Tre Jones a thing or two about how to command the offense.
