The San Antonio Spurs are planning for the future, and there is certainly a reality in which everyone outside of Victor Wembanyama is available for trade. Are we living in that reality? With the trade deadline less than a week away, only time will tell.

No one outside of the Spurs' top executives truly knows who is being considered for trades and who is not. But based on varying factors, educated guesses can be made about which players are most likely to be moved. Five players on the current roster stand out among the rest.

1. Doug McDermott

A veteran playing on an expiring contract, Doug McDermott is one of the top candidates to be packaged in a potential trade deadline deal. When it comes to his on-court ability, Doug exists to create offensive gravity with his constant off-ball movement and lightning quick pull-up jumper.

He is currently shooting a white hot 43.8% from three-point range this season. But although he still shoots the rock at an efficient clip, his shot attempts have dropped by nearly half his average from last season.

With less opportunity available for McDermott, it may be best for the Spurs to move on from him and get assets back. Shooters are relatively easy to come by in this day and age, and San Antonio risks losing him for nothing this summer if they do not.
